Web applications are software solutions that can be run via the internet, or installed on an in-house server. They involve no software installation for each user - all a user needs is a computer with a browser and internet access.

Catalina IT has developed a number of software modules that can be used to build a fully integrated software solution. In each case we provide a tailor-made system, based on your specific requirements.

Examples of some of the web applications we can provide for you are as follows.

• In house accounting or administration intranets. In the past these would be created as systems that have to be installed on an in-house server, and on each user's computer. Web applications can provide the same functionality, with far less installation, maintenance and support.
• On-line shopping, with credit card payments. This includes a database of products which can be searched and purchased.
• Business to business applications, where your system can send and receive information from your customer and suppliers systems.
• Emails systems that allow email lists to be maintained, emails to be sent, and recipients to unsubscribe.
• On-Line quotations. There are times when a web application can use a product database to provide quotes to on-line customers.
• Web site content management. Where you are regularly changing parts of a web site (such as news or specials pages), we can provide a password protected application to allow you to change content whenever you like. This can include uploading replacement images.
• On-line calendars for events and bookings.
• Secure login to designated pages within a website.
• Creation of a 'members area' within a site where members can access and amend their details (such as address), and view or download their invoices or accounts.
• On-line forms with full validation, the results of which can be emailed to you and/or added to a database for later action.
• Add a search facility to your existing website.

All web applications include an admin option to download a full backup of the site, including all files, and data from the database.
